Meet Your Guides

Shannon Burla is an ordained Priestess of Animistic Magic in The Order of the Stag and the Rose, as well as the creator of fusion dance style Sword Magick™. She is inspired by mist and wildflowers and she dances at the crossroads between magick and art. Her sword is her ceremonial blade- her Athame- and with it she weaves potent magical spells and tells powerful stories of love, strength, and survival.

Sword Magick: Steel and Bone

Delve into a fusion dance form that is steeped in ritual and dripping with magick. Students will learn foundational sword dance movements, connect them to ritual elements, as well as dip their toes into learning how to create their own ritual sword vocabulary.
All swords and bodies of all shapes, sizes, abilities and experience are welcome!

Bring:
- A Sword
- Water or yummy beverage of your choice
- A Journal and writing implement for a journaling exercise

Don’t own a sword but still want to attend? You can bring anything from Broomsticks to butterknives! (Or canes or umbrellas) All will work well for this workshop.

Aspen is a Priestess, autistic mystic, cat mom, dancer, music lover, meditation teacher, and tarot collaborator. She chooses that last word with purpose; when we read tarot, we are having a conversation with the cards, and they are helping us tell a story. Aspen believes that tarot is a guide and a friend that can help us find our unique intuitive voices, and she is deeply passionate about encouraging others in their spiritual pursuits.

Finding Your Voice With Tarot

One of the most fascinating and exciting things about reading tarot is cultivating your style and finding your authentic voice…but how do we do that? This workshop will focus on that question. We will learn about the different ways our intuition may speak to us through the cards, how to trust that inner knowing/feeling/seeing/sensing, and how you can expand your spiritual vocabulary with the tarot.

Please feel free to bring along a tarot deck if you have one; being able to riffle the cards in real-time might be helpful for you!

I am a Priestess and Magical Craftswoman. I’ve been interested in and a practitioner of magical things since I was a child! I’ve been studying with Faelan for almost three years now and during my first year I received an unexpected visit from a deity I wasn’t expecting-Mother Mary. Through my work with her I was inspired to make a rosary of rose beads..

Magical Crafting - Rose Petal Beads

Roses are a very sacred flower and have been used in spiritual practices for many years. Beads can be made using the ground petals; then they can be included in jewelry, rosaries (rose is in the name!), or mala beads. You can make these along with me or watch the recording and make them at a later time!

Supplies you’ll need: fresh roses, a blender or a mortar and pestle, some water, paper towels, and wire/beading components like eye pins-make sure it’s wide enough to fit whatever wire or string you’ll use later to make jewelry.
